Mine Spawn Disaster.png

Mine Spawn is a disaster in Survive The Disasters 2.

Deadly landmines will spawn on the Spawn Points, and will tick a few times before exploding. Their blast radius is medium-sized and will increase in higher variants. It is recommended to stay away from the spawn points as much as possible, because survivors cannot predict which mine will explode first.

For the hyper variant, the mine's blast radius is about as big, making it a bigger challenge to avoid them if there's Spawn Points close together on the map.
For the impossible variant, Mine Spawn's blast radius is even larger! Players must avoid the mines at all costs as their explosions are nearly as big as a Nuclear Bomb's blast.

Disaster Memo Information

"9 deadly Mines will spawn on all the enemy spawns on the map. They will explode after 2.4 seconds upon appearing. Mines have a blast radius of 40. Beware!"

"Hyper Mine Spawn has an explosive blast radius of 60, instead of the standard 45. Detonates at the same time standard Mine Spawn do."

Survival Tips

  • Make sure you aren't near any of the Spawn Points.
  • Mines take a while to detonate, and will do it in a sequence rather than all at once. Use this to your advantage and use fast movement gear such as an Epic Katana to run away from the Mines.
  • Hyper: The explosions are slightly bigger. Remain mindful of the spawn point locations, and take into account the bigger explosions.
  • Impossible: The explosions are a lot bigger. Know all the spawn points in ever map and know where to stand. Know that the mines will detonate almost instantly.

  • In Version 41.5, Hyper Mine Spawn was changed so that mines would detonate themselves, with their explosive radius nerfed.
    • Standard and Impossible variants, however, were slightly buffed.
    • As for what the previous Hyper Mine Spawn acted like, the mines would start beeping, but would never explode until a player walked in nearby. This, resulted in it becoming completely harmless on its own, but a threat in combos, where other disasters like X-Bomb and Killbots would force you to move around a lot, potentially risking yourself detonating one of the mines.
  • During Impossible Mine Spawn, the mines will destroy most, if not all, destructible structures of the map. This is due to the gigantic radius and the amount of spawn points maps have.
  • In Survive The Disasters 4 (April Fools 2018), the disaster warning was renamed to "mine spawn", in lowercase text.
    • Along with that, the mine beeps were replaced with the "Mine!" sound effects from Finding Nemo. This also happened in Survive The Disasters 3 (April Fools 2017).
  • In Version 41.71, due to a change in the explosion behavior, Mine Spawn's blast will not kill players if they are within the orange part of the explosion, instead, they will be dealt 50 to 100 damage.
