Disasters are the main event in Survive The Disasters 2, appearing every round. They occur in-game, and will try to kill unprepared players.
The goal is to survive every disaster, in order to maintain your Survival Streak and earn Coins.
Warning Rounds
Warnings are special rounds that frequently happen, usually harder variants or combinations of different disasters, used to make the game harder.
For a full description of how Warning Rounds function and their respective types, see the full page here.
Boss Disasters
Bosses are considered a special type of disasters, where players usually have to fight a single, harder enemy.
For a full description of how Bosses function, see the full page here.
Disaster Cycles
Disasters are randomly chosen throughout the gameplay using a cycle system.
The cycle system consists in excluding disasters from appearing in the next rounds after it has been picked randomly by the game. Such cycle will be reset after all disasters in storage have appeared. This means that, if a disaster has been seen in a regular round before, it cannot appear again afterwards, until the cycle goes through the entire list and resets itself.
This mechanic can be used by players as a strategy to predict, with less influence of the randomness aspect, which disasters can appear in the next rounds.
Types of Disasters

Noobs are a common example of a humanoid disaster.
- Humanoid: All disasters in this category are based on humanoid or similar creatures that attempt to chase and kill the players. Some humanoids have a life bar, meaning a player can defeat them. However, there are humanoids that have infinite life and, as a result, cannot be attacked by the player. Usually a humanoid doesn't have many powers, and will usually become a threat when in large groups. Examples include Noobs, Guest Ambush, Zombies, etc.
- Enemy: Enemy disasters are based on a singular creature that has stronger abilities than usual. Examples include Neon Trooper, Epic Duck and Witch.
- Natural: Natural disasters are based on actual disasters that naturally occur in real life. Examples include Tsunami, Tornado, and Flash Flood.
- Trap: These disasters are often non-sensical and unusual objects that might or not require reaction from the players. Examples include Mine Spawn, Death Trampoline and Illumina.
- Explosive: All disasters in this category feature mechanics that create an explosion. Most explosions instantly kill you, so it is recommended to stay away from them at all costs. Some examples include X-Bomb, Dynamites and Meteors.
- Target: These disasters usually have a code that directly selects a player, not necessarily the closest survivors. Examples are disasters that fire lasers, like Sighters or Sniper, or disasters that choose a player and do attacks based on that pick, such as UFO, Cactoball and Caterdriller.
Disaster Memos
Disaster Memos are small collectible cards, which give information about disasters.
For a full description of how Memos function, see the full page here.
Disaster Timers
There is a timer between every disaster and in-game. As of now, there are three types of timers, displayed below.
Break Time
After a Map is selected during the Stage Select menu, a "Get Ready!" counter will appear at the top of the screen. A Warning Round cannot appear after this timer, or on the first round. It lasts for 60 seconds.
Disaster Duration
When a disaster occurs, the name will be displayed with a counter. When the counter hits 0, and the player is still alive, they will obtain Achievements, which in turn gives them Coins and EXP. If the player has been killed, they still obtain 10% of the amount of survival award they would normally earn, and half of their normal Bloxxer award (and if they collected a Memo, they receive the full "Memo Collected" bonus); if the player is killed during the last three seconds, they instead earn half of their survival award. This timer varies between disasters.
Next Disaster In
After the first disaster on the map, a "Next Disaster In" counter will appear. If the next round selected is a Warning Round, it'll display "WARNING!!!" instead. This timer is much shorter than the Break Time one, lasting for only 15 seconds instead of 60.
