Caterdriller is a disaster in Survive The Disasters 2.
Description
Caterdriller is a large red “worm” with a drill on its nose that emerges from the ground, flies briefly through the air, and falls back down.
When the disaster starts, the Caterdriller will pick a random spot on the baseplate to emerge from. At the selected entry point, dirt will pile out for a couple of seconds, before it emerges from the entry point. The exit point of the Caterdriller will have a 50% chance to be deliberately placed under a surviving player, or either a random point of the map. Touching any part of its body, except its eyes, will result in instant death.
For the hyper variant, all of Caterdriller's movements are quicker in speed. It is also recolored to a darker red tone. For the impossible variant, the Caterdriller is now painted fully black and digs up and down at an even faster rate.
Disaster Memo Information
"Caterdriller drills its way out of the ground! There's a 50% chance Caterdriller will burrow below a random player and a 50% chance it'll target a random player."
"Comparing to the standard Caterdriller, this one digs and moves faster."
Survival Tips
- In order to effectively survive Caterdriller, it is recommended to use any movement gear such as Speed Coil, Fusion Coil or Epic Katana.
- If you get targetted by Caterdriller, quickly move away as it is 1-hit K.O.
- Always pay attention to where Caterdriller will land.
Trivia
- The concept for Caterdriller was first announced on March 26, on Survive The Disasters 2's Twitter page.
- If players manage to get outside of the map, Caterdriller is able to target them there normally.
- Caterdriller's eyes do not harm players, as they are uncollidable.
- Previously, Impossible Caterdriller would dig up from where it had last dug down. This potentially made it easier than its Hyper variant.
- This was also the only disaster for which its Hyper variant was considered harder than its Impossible variant.
